9/21/2014 - 8:00 PM - UPDATE Val was all clean and shiny when I got there this morning with the exception of his teeth and beard. We got that taken care of and he was ready for the day. Had some visitors and had nap. Speech Therapy came in and he did really well. He started with thickened water and then a container of applesauce. Craig asked if he wanted to try Kool Aid, not thickened, he did and it went down just right. He also had some regular water. He did great! Say an extra prayer for him at 10 that he passes the test. Travis and I got him shifted around in the bed and we watched some football. Then Val and I demonstrated how he could move is right arm and leg. The arm moves better than the leg, but he can move it slightly. If helped, he can move the knee pretty well. Owen dropped by on his way back to Georgia Southern. Val had a good day.
