9/25/14 Pax Update: We received the news this afternoon about Paxs scans. For the most part it is good news, but we are a little nervous about one of the findings. First of all, his cardiac tests were all normal. The CT of his abdomen was normal. The CT of his chest showed a couple spots. The physician said they could be left over from a previous infection or something different, but at this point they can not rule out metastasis. The physician said it did not look like a tumor and the chest would not be the typical location for metastasis for a case of Neuroblastoma. Obviously we are hopeful this is an anomaly and an insignificant finding, but we will be discussing it further at Paxs appointment first thing Monday morning. Right now it looks like the plan may be to move forward with the same plan of action meaning Pax would have scans repeated in 3 months. There is some discussion about possibly repeating the chest CT in one month. Either way, we are going to feel a little more apprehensive in the immediate future. Please pray this is just something minor that will dissipate promptly and the next scan will be clear.
