[9/27 UDN News] Jerry Yan Meet Japanese Fans Fending Off Marriage Subject Jerry Yan had his fan meetings at Tokyo Metropolitan Hibiya Public Hall on September 26. About three thousand fans with ages ranging from babies to grandmas. The fans enjoyed four songs that Jerry performed passionately. The host tried very hard to get Jerry to comment on the timing and theme of his “wedding” by providing the information on Japanese traditions. However Jerry did best to avoid answering the questions. He joked that couples would ride motorcycles at their weddings and the helmets make good fashion. Jerry also teased the host by asking whether he would host his wedding for free but did not get any response. Seeing how Leehom Wang interacted with his wife at the wedding of Vanness Wu, Jerry admits that he envies Leehom’s luck of finding a caring wife. After being absent for three years from the record industry, Jerry Yan is releasing his first Japanese solo single, “Angel and Devil”. He took part in the planning and the production of the album. The theme is designed to reveal his deep feelings. The sale of the album has passed 10,000 copies within a week after the opening of the pre-sale. Fans who have purchased the CD have been given tickets to one of the eight handshake and photo sessions that will last for four days in both Tokyo and Osaka. A long time fan of Jerry’s even brought her 21 year old son to attend the meeting to see her “most desirable man”. A woman in her 70’s attended in a wheelchair. Jerry came down from the stage to give her hugs. Jerry saw off his fans one by one at the end of the session. Jerry says:”whenever I feel down and lonely, their faces would give me the most encouragement.”
