That being said, history has demonstrated that despots do exist in the world. Hitler, Idi Amin, and Saddam Hussein show that a charismatic leader who controls the press and has a low intelligence, greedy constituency is capable of grooming their military like a garden. They weed out those who would not blindly follow their orders and serve the nation rather than an oath of fealty. When the despot can no longer control the populace through effective leadership, financial means, and propaganda, his only recourse is through violence. Prior to this last step, disarming the populace and salting the military with sympathizers becomes necessary. But dont take my word for it. Get the facts. Read the history of Nazi Germany, Uganda, and Iraq. Draw your own parallels. A leader wholly unfit for the office they inhabit has only this logical progression to retain power.
