9 people died in Sinthan Sumo accident Asif Iqbal Naik Kishtwar July 8: In a tragic accident at Sinthan top some 70 KM from Kishtwar on Kishtwar-Srinagar National Highway, nine people reportedly died while Tata Sumo bearing Registration No. JK17-840 meet with an accident near Potato farm resulted into the on spot death of all the nine occupants traveling in the said departmental vehicle owned by the Sheep Husbandry Department Kishtwar. Among the dead is District Officer Sheep Husbandry Kishtwar Mohammad Rafiq Akhoon, while 8 others are the employees of the department. The ill fated vehicle was on its way to Warwan via Sinthan top for organising a special camp of the department to facilitate better Medicare to the live stock in the area.
