9 things you do not likely know about me. 1) Number one spot on my bucket list has always been to stand in the eye of a hurricane. I was able to scratch it off during Hurricane Ike in 2008. I stood in its eye while it was a category 2 hurricane, and survived a scary walk for two city blocks through the eye wall! 2) I say I love public speaking (and karaoke), and I do, but it still scares me every single time. I just channel the fear and use the energy in a positive way. 3) I never enjoyed going high speeds until I got a bike. I definitely never thought Id desire to go 100+ mph on a bike, but now Ive added a spot on my bucket list to reach 200+ mph on a bike. 4) A lot of people say Im smart, many others say Im a hard worker. In actuality, Im just very competitive. I strive to perform better than everyone around me, whether it be academically or in the workplace. 5) I am often misunderstood. 6) My mother is my hero. I love her so very much. I also love my brother and sisters more than they could possibly know. Im extremely proud of the people theyve become, and all their accomplishments. 7) I have a very special bond with my Grandma Shirley. Sometimes I think she knows me better than I know myself, even today. She told me in reference to my recent divorce, Michael, you really need to stop getting pussy-whipped by these girls! I was speechless because she was 100% right. 8) I am fearless. I thank my Grandpa Jarrel for this because he instilled 2 Timothy 1:7 into me when I would get scared as a little boy (I swear their house in Dimmitt, TX, was haunted!) For most of my life, it was the only Bible verse I could recite, and I still often do. 9) I will run for political office soon. ;)
