9 years ago tonight changed my life in so many ways. Through a split second thought, the life of a young friend was taken away in a car accident caused by drink driving. I get so angry whenever I see people I know or dont know get behind the wheel and drive whilst drunk. With little thought for anyone else on the road or even in their passenger seat. No, ill never know the reason why my friend got into the car that ultimately took her life way too soon and ill never understand why people drink and drive but I do know that its something ill never do. 9 years after the incident, I rarely go a week without thinking about Dina. A really beautiful and talented young lady in so many ways. Where would she be today? A star on broadway? A lead in a top television show? A superstar of movies? Her life in the spotlight was destined and its something well never see. So for any of my friends who have bothered to read this from start to finish, please dont drink and drive. Its not worth risking your own life or anyone elses. Life is too short as it is and to risk it by doing something so crazy would be stupid. I know im not alone on the night of July 4th and the morning of July 5th when she died and I know that there are so many people that love and miss her as much as I do. Dina, thanks for being such a great friend for the 7 years I knew you and I know youll be forever smiling over us.
