90 Days of Blessing - DAY 17 (6/6/13) Meditate on the Word: Read Joshua 17. Pray the Blessing: Joshua 17:17-18 But Joshua said to the house of Joseph—to Ephraim and Manasseh—“You are numerous and very powerful. You will have not only one allotment but the forested hill country as well. Clear it, and its farthest limits will be yours; though the Canaanites have iron chariots and though they are strong, you can drive them out. Ps 33:10-19 The LORD brings the counsel of the nations to nothing; he frustrates the plans of the peoples. The counsel of the LORD stands forever, the plans of his heart to all generations. Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD, the people whom he has chosen as his heritage! The LORD looks down from heaven; he sees all the children of man; from where he sits enthroned he looks out on all the inhabitants of the earth, he who fashions the hearts of them all and observes all their deeds. The king is not saved by his great army; a warrior is not delivered by his great strength. The war horse is a false hope for salvation, and by its great might it cannot rescue. Behold, the eye of the LORD is on those who fear him, on those who hope in his steadfast love, that he may deliver their soul from death and keep them alive in famine. Ask for the Nations: Pray for the more than 125 million unreached Japanese. Racially, culturally, and ethnically, the Japanese are one of the most homogenous people groups in the world. They identify themselves in terms of biological heritage, birth in Japan, a shared culture, and a common language (Japanese). The earthquake and tsunami of 2011 decimated three provinces in the northeast and shook the people of the nation to their core. Pray for the outbreak of spiritual responsiveness and for labourers who recognize the kairos opportunity and seize it in the power of the Holy Spirit. Declare your faith: I believe and confess that Jesus Christ does not want anyone to perish but all people to come to the saving knowledge of Him as the Son of God. Today I ask for the nations as His inheritance. May Jesus receive the reward of His suffering. I choose to bear a bold witness to His grace and glory today. (2 Pet 3:9; John 3:16) Pray on foot: Share the gospel today with at least one unbeliever and pray for those nations and people groups who have not yet heard the gospel of Jesus Christ.
