90 Days of Blessing - DAY 23 (6/12/13) Meditate on the Word: Read Joshua 23. Pray the Blessing: Joshua 23:6-8 Be very strong; be careful to obey all that is written in the Book of the Law of Moses, without turning aside to the right or to the left. Do not associate with these nations that remain among you; do not invoke the names of their gods or swear by them. You must not serve them or bow down to them. But you are to hold fast to the Lord your God, as you have until now. Ask for the Nations: Pray for the nearly 200,000 Tibetan Buddhist Sharchop people of Bhutan and China, that God’s kingdom may at last come among them in power. Bhutan did not open its doors to tourism until 1974 and still restricts the number of tourists that may visit each year. Although they recently allowed Pepsi Cola to enter the country, there is still a ban on satellite television in an attempt to protect what the monarchy calls a "fragile culture." This repressive government does not want exposure to Westerners and, especially, to other religions. Though not the ruling people group, the Sharchop are the largest people group living in this tiny Himalayan nation. Pray for them to lead the way to Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. Declare your faith: I believe and confess that Jesus Christ is the Prince of Peace and that He alone gives the peace that surpasses all understanding. Today let this peace radiate from my life that many may ask me to give an answer for the hope within me. Give me the words to clearly express my hope and faith to them. (Isa 9:6; Phil 4:7). Pray on foot: Pray at your police station or at the army barracks for police, armed forces or peace-keeping forces. Ask that the peace of Jesus, Prince of Peace, rules over your area and its people.
