90 Days of Blessing - DAY 40 (6/29/13) Meditate on the Word: Read Luke 3. Pray the Blessing: Luke 3:4-6 As is written in the book of the words of Isaiah the prophet: “A voice of one calling in the desert, ‘Prepare the way for the Lord, make straight paths for him. Every valley shall be filled in, every mountain and hill made low. The crooked roads shall become straight, the rough ways smooth, And all mankind will see God’s salvation.” Isaiah 57:14 And it will be said: "Build up, build up, prepare the road! Remove the obstacles out of the way of my people." Ask for the Nations: Pray for the 97 unreached people groups (more than 69 million people) of the Jat people cluster. The Jats are immersed in several ethnic groups who retain an identity often based on occupation and heritage and live primarily in Pakistan and Northwest India. They are farmers, traders and laborers, are taller and heavier than most Asians, and have a reputation for violence. There are followers of all three religions: Hinduism, Sikhism, and Islam but as yet few Christians. Pray for God to move by His Spirit among them, to draw to Himself many who become strong followers of Jesus Christ. Pray they lead the way for others to know Him as well. Declare your faith: Today as I enter other dwellings or businesses, I will speak ‘peace’ there and believe God to bring people of peace across my path. Prince of Peace, go before me today and open my eyes to those whose hearts are prepared to hear good news. Let Your peace that passes my understanding keep my heart and mind quiet and at rest in You as I share. (Luke 10:5; Philippians 4:7) Pray on foot: Pray at a homeless shelter today for God to make Himself at home in their hearts and to provide for them according to their needs. Ask Him to show you a practical step of faith to demonstrate His love.
