90% of American holidays that have been hijacked by commercial industries and religious institutions all have Pagan/ shamanic origin. I like to remind the world of this and tune into that deeper mystical undertone for myself when it comes to these holidays. Today has a lot of different meanings for people. There is a lot passion and excitement in the air for many. Tonight I feel very connected to my Celtic lineage on Halloween and our ancestors called today : Samhain. The Celts believed that the dead could walk among the living at this time. For me, I just feel that the veils are thinner. I want people to enjoy themselves, enjoy the festivities and each other... but I also appreciate any opportunity to remind people of the mystical. There are many worlds that interact with ours. The spirit world being one of them. For those of you wanting to work with some intention tonight... you can make offerings to the benevolent spirits and the spirit world itself. You can take a moment to honor and acknowledge The upper, the lower and the middle worlds. You can light candles to honor those loved ones who have passed. Make love with clear intention. Find that bridge between the mystical and the passionate. Happy Halloween - Happy Samhain!
