97th anniversary of the day at Passchendaele when 800 kiwis lost their lives in 4 hours in a fruitless battle that gained no ground because the generals did not listen to their men, that it was impossible to get artillery to range in that impossible mud. We lost 60% of our fighting men in that one battle. That would change forever the way we let other nations generals command our men in future wars. SALUTE! We will always remember them
