98 degrees ... Elisabeth is not handling this very well at all. I promise when we become rich (rolls eyes), we will have a pool baby girl! One trip to her hematologist which is just 10 minutes down the road and she was so unbelievably hot I had to pour cold water over her head to cool her down! Appointment lasted maybe 30 minutes from the time we pulled in the parking lot, unpacked wheelchair from trunk, put wheelchair together, loaded her in it, got inside, saw the doctor, loaded her back in car, took wheelchair apart, loaded back in trunk, and pulled out of the parking lot and that 30 minutes totally wiped her out! Then throw in the fact that because NOTHING helps keeps her from falling sideways (cant wait for surgery!!), she gets almost strangled by the harness straps in anything shes in so shes really wore out from us having to constantly re-position her. And this is part of the reason we are hermits and dont go a lot of places. Ugh ... so ready for her surgery, a new wheelchair, and a handicap accessible van ... yes, Lord, Im ready and waiting here. So thankful for what we DO have and I know there are others less fortunate ... just hate watching her be so miserable :-/
