98 % of Europe would disagree with Irish Dentists as they have rejected adding fluoride chemicals to water due to health and/or ethical reasons and they have better teeth than we do. The reason children have poor dental health is due to a diet high in sugars, processed carbohydrates, fizzy drinks, low in essential minerals such as calcium, magnesium, vitamin D and improper oral hygiene habits. It is a low mineral diet and constant supply of sugar and irregular brushing and flossing that creates decay. A lack of fluoride wont cause tooth decay. Just like a lack of a headache tablet wont cause a headache.
