99.4 Well, shit. That makes the third complete cycle of antibiotics (Bactrim, Keflex, and Zithromax) to fail to resolve this infection since all this began in June. When we get Skip home from the hospital, I suppose I will be returning to Dr. Haden for more blood work as well as scheduling an appointment with this infectious disease specialist, Dr. Bernstein. I am pinning my hopes of getting back to where I was before on that elevated white cell count; if it is still an infection of some kind that I am battling, then my prayer is that treatment of one kind or another (maybe IV antibiotics?) will allow me to finally succeed in beating it. In the event my white cell count has normalized, I suppose it will be time to resign myself to these recurring fevers being a new symptom of my fibromyalgia. :/ I cannot tell you how much your kind words, warm thoughts, and continued support mean to me.
