9992 My secret is that Im a white male whose parents and entire family are hardcore born again Christians and I want to convert to Islam. My best friend introduced me to Islam just by showing his kindness to all other religions and never forcing his beliefs on me or others. This really took me by shock because most people think that Muslims have an agenda to convert everyone and that they hate all religions. So I became intrigued and studied the religion a bit and really liked what I read about Islam. Im currently halfway through the Quran and can say the bible has no comparison to this book. I honestly feel like this is the religion for me and want to convert but I have no clue how to tell my parents. They will probably disown me and tell me Im going to hell with the rest of the terrorists (real religious of them right?). They might even disown me financially as well, since they support me financially 85% right now. I already gave up pork and non halal meats which raised suspicion to my parents and my father even said Im reading to many Muslim and Jew articles when I told him of the negative effects of pork. I know I can always convert secretly but Im just nervous about how I would fast during Ramadan without them finding out. I also know that I shouldnt fear and have faith in Allah and that he would resolve this for me but Im scared and dont know what to do. Also where can we get some decent halal food on or around campus?
