99ps WORTH OF PRICELESS FRIENDSHIP ~ You may recall that this - TopicsExpress

99ps WORTH OF PRICELESS FRIENDSHIP ~ You may recall that this year,2014, my overrider angel card was Friendship highlighting the importance of nurturing and honoring and cherishing my friendships, so how about this for a delightful little miracle of the power of friendship? Yesterday I was in London enjoying a magical day with Annie Jones . We did a little bit of charity shop mooching (bliss!) and in Oxfam, I spotted a little saucer with a bee on it. Sadly there was no cup to go with, but the saucer was so pretty and only 99p, I intended to buy it anyway. Before i could reach my purse, Annie whipped it off me and insisted on buying it for me as a little pressie, she knows how much I love my bees. When I got home, I spotted the artists name on the bottom of the saucer so I Googled and found it is by yvonneellen/products. Her website and her designs are gorgeous, quirky and have quite a lot of little bees worked into them. At home, I already had a scrumptious little hand made vase by Marika Beutler a Swedish artist konsthantverkscentrum.se/medlem/Marika-Beutler which was a gift from my Swedish family on my last trip. I had been looking for a small plate or saucer to stand the vase on. Imagine my delight and surprise when I tried the two together and found they could have been created by the same hand! The saucer has exactly the same pink and black pattern and glaze, used in the same kind of strokes. The little black bee on the saucer, reflects almost exactly the coloured bee and the stylised flower on the vase. The saucer has a gold leaf edge and the vase has a gold leaf sprinkle of pollen by the bee. Such subtle but perfect mismatched togetherness. Take a look at the photos , they look like they were meant to bee! Isnt that what friendships are all about? Thank you Annie for my 99p joyfulness! PS: Think about this . . . someone threw that littler saucer out, it no longer pleased them, the cup was lost, so it went in the charity bag. Maybe the cup and saucer had sentimental value to the original owner, and maybe they felt bad or guilty about throwing it out. I can only say this, THANK YOU x you have no idea how much your rejected saucer means to me. When we donate our worldy goodies to charity we never know the difference they will make to someone day, or life, and in this case all for 99p! x
