9pm last night, our neighbor starts playing loud music from inside his detached garage...again. Getting some much-needed sleep was out of the question, of course. This is the neighbor who got a $1,000 fine by PD two years ago because the cops had to stop by 6 times in one long and noisy day (guess my neighbor has money to burn or is an idiot or both). By 1:30am it had gotten loud enough to call the precinct directly and make me put my coat on, take a walk around the corner and see first hand what was happening. As I walked by I saw my neighbor dancing by himself inside his garage, twirling around like a ballerina, beer can in one hand and waving the other one around like a nut. A drunk audience of 5 or 6 people were encouraging him to dance by shouting at the top of their lungs. Not wanting to risk my safety, as this neighbor has threatened us with harm before (because we wanted to plant some flower bulbs in a tree pit in front of his home as allowed by the Parks Department) I crossed the street and began to record the noise in a not-so-obviously-recording -my-jerky-neighbor way as much as I could. 311 call placed soon after. Wouldnt you know it, the neighbor went quiet by 3am and the 311 report is still open.
