A 100% increase in funds required to apply for a residence permit has been announced - insideguidetoturkey/inside-guide-to-turkey-forums/general-antalya-chat/23845-residence-permit-question?start=6#26405 - The Antalya Polis website - antalya.pol.tr/Sayfalar/yabancilar-ikamet-izni-cesitleri.aspx - Now states you need to show a minimum of $1000 per month of residency applied for, up from the $500 required just a week ago in 2014. It also seems they will no longer accept change office reciepts as proof of funds available (many expats will know what THAT means!) and demand that the funds are in a Turkish bank account, seeing as how Turkish banks require you to have an Ikamet to open an account it will be interesting to see how the Polis and Government expect this to be possible without the aid of a delorean and crazy scientist or a close friendship with a corrupt government official.
