A 10th point of interest on the Half Marathon course is the Pacific Ocean and the boardwalk/walking trail that runs next to it. In the approximate 3-mile stretch between Lovers Point and Asilomar State Beach there is a marvelous walking path that meanders next to small rocky beaches and through the dunes near the ocean. Ocean and bay views complete the experience. Small benches along the path provide an opportunity to gaze at the scenery and breath the clean ocean air. Take a walk the day before the Half Marathon and check it out!
