A 12-year-old #beagle named Chance—gets a second one! Chance was surrendered by his owner. It’s hard for an older dog who’s lived his whole life in a home to suddenly find himself in a shelter. Alone and bewildered, he showed signs of aggression. Our grant recipient, Penny Angels Beagle Rescue, took him in. At the vet’s office, Chance cried out when his back was touched. He suffered severe arthritis. Was he aggressive because of his discomfort? Grey Muzzle helped with necessary medical care to ease his pain. With some serious TLC, Chance became a sweet old gentleman who would much rather snuggle than snap. Given the “chance” he needed, this happy boy was quickly adopted into a comfy forever home.
