A 15-year-old boy was arrested after a police pursuit in a stolen car yesterday afternoon. At about 2.30pm on Sunday 13 July, police received a call reporting a RDNS vehicle driving erratically on Airport Road, Brooklyn Park. The vehicle had been stolen from Tweed Avenue, Marion the night before. Police spotted the car on Marion Road, Mitchell Park and engaged in a brief police pursuit before losing the vehicle in the backstreets. The car was abandoned in Ulva Avenue, Warradale and the alleged driver was seen running from the scene. Police arrested a suspect at the nearby Oaklands Park railway station. The teenager from Royal Park was charged with illegal use and engage in a police pursuit and will face the youth court at a later date.
