A 16-year-old Roma boy in France is still in a coma after a brutal lynching last Friday. We are highly concerned about this case and urge French authorities to properly investigate it. The racist public discourse on Roma in France contributed to creating an environment in which attacks such as this one can take place. Irresponsible politicians contributed to this racist public discourse by making use of hate speech and negative stereotypes.
