A 16-year-old boy is expected to survive after being injured late Sunday evening in a Livingston drive-by shooting. No suspects are in custody. The shooting was reported around 11:45 p.m. Sunday near I and Prusso streets, Livingston Police Chief Ruben Chavez told the Sun-Star. The boy, who admits to being a gang member, was walking when a white Honda carrying a driver and a passenger approached. One of the occupants fired upon the boy, striking him in the shoulder, Chavez said. The occupants of the vehicle, described only as Latino males, fled the scene. Police and emergency personnel responded, and the boy was taken to a regional hospital. Livingston police are asking anyone with information about the shooting to call Detective Patrick Radke or Sgt. Ray Fong at (209) 394-7916. Tips are kept confidential and you can remain anonymous. Read more here: mercedsunstar/2014/08/11/3791061/16-year-old-boy-hurt-in-livingston.html#storylink=cpy
