A 16-year-old girl was hospitalised after being hit in the head by a piece of brick thrown during a fight, after a party in Sydney’s east was gatecrashed. Police have been told about 10.40pm yesterday (Friday 6 June 2014), a group of teenage boys jumped a fence and gatecrashed a party being held at a home on Harbourne Road, Kingsford. A fight ensued between this group and a group of partygoers, during which a piece of broken brick was thrown. The object hit a 16-year-old girl from Earlwood in the side of the head. She had not been involved in the altercation but was standing nearby. The girl was taken to Sydney Children’s Hospital where she received stitches. The gatecrashers left the party and police were called. Officers responding to the incident came across a group of four males nearby on Anzac Parade.
