A 17-year-old pedestrian was killed Friday, Sept. 27 when hit by a car while crossing Highway 23 in Foreston. Tyler D. Collison, 17, of Foreston, was crossing Highway 23 on foot near 145th Avenue in Foreston at about 9:45 p.m. when he was hit by an eastbound 2010 Honda Accord driven by Randi L. Brevitz, age 70 of Isle, according to the Minnesota State Patrol. Brevitz and her husband Alan Brevitz, age 67, a passenger in the vehicle, suffered to apparent injury, according to the State Patrol. Both of the Brevitzs were wearing seat belts. Their airbags did not deploy. The Brevitz vehicle suffered moderate damage, according to the State Patrol. The Patrol reported damage to the center front hood and windshield The Milaca Police Department and Mille Lacs County Sheriff’s Department assisted The State Patrol at the scene.
