A 20 years old boy, Shri Krishna, came to seek guidance for higher education. His father had committed suicide ten years back, after suffering huge loss in Gold jewel business. This boy left school and started selling sundal (steamed chana) in a local park. He was spotted by Shri Iyappan who encouraged him to rejoin school and took care of financial requirements for his education as well as grocery requirement of his family (Mother and sister). You should know about Shri Iyappan. 6th pass, a resident of Siddha Pudur, a large slum in Coimbatore, was an activist of Radical Youth movement, came in contact with a swayam sevak and became Pracharak (whole-time worker) of RSS. He was a Taluka Pracharak of Kinaththuk Kidavu Taluka, when I was the Saha Vibhag Pracharak of Coimbatore division. Not much educated, but had a very beautiful heart. He could never bear poverty. He used to give away money given by RSS, meant for his own personal needs, whenever he came across a sick or hungry poor and earn reprimands from Vibhag Pracharak. He used to compensate this by walking all the way, sometimes as long as 20 KMs. I too have walked long distances with him whenever I visited his area. He retired as Pracharak and I too. Hence, I lost his contact. Now this boy has helped me reconnect with him. He himself has an extra-growth in one eye and is almost blind. Has been avoiding treatment for want of funds. On the other hand, he regularly visits the local Jail and and arranges to fulfill needs like clothings, sweets, postal covers, medicines etc. of the inmates. I salute you Iyappan, a Man with a Butter-like heart. I am inspired. I know, youll never read this post.
