A 2013 vid, but quite an interesting view from an ex-Harrier pilot - granted, a rosy one. The Tory announcements late last year, ahead of this years defence review, indicate an intention to operate both Queen Elizabeth and Prince of Wales, ensuring one is always at a high state of readiness. They are the largest aircraft carriers outside of the USA, with a similar acreage. For metal lovers like me that ought to mean a healthy Lightning II force to love, cherish, and photograph! The news that RAF Lakenheath is to get a couple of squadrons is the icing on the cake.
