A 24-YEAR-OLD MAN IDENTIFIED AS ADEDEJI ADENIYI, WAS ON TUESDAY REMANDED IN PRISON CUSTODY BY AN ABEOKUTA CHIEF MAGISTRATES COURT FOR ALLEGED MURDER OF HIS FRIEND. NAN reports that the police prosecutor, inspector Sunday Eigbejiale told the court that the accused committed the offence on May 3 at about 9.50 p.m. at Mokola area of Ogun capital. READ ALSO: The accused, whose address is unknown, is standing trial for one count charge of murder before Chief Magistrate, Anthony Araba. Eigbejiale explained to the court that the accused unlawfully killed his friend, Akeem Agbadaowo, a 25-year-old man when he attacked him with a machete and a broken bottle during a dispute. The prosecutor told the court that the offence was contrary to Sections 316 and 324 of the Criminal Law of Ogun, 2006. READ ALSO: Chief Magistrate Araba, ordered that the accused be kept in prison custody pending advice from the State Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP), and adjourned the case till January 9, 2015.
