A 29-year-old female presents for evaluation of weakness. She states that she has noticed significant weakness in her arms over the past few weeks. When further questioned, she denies sleepiness or actual fatigue - rather, she feels as though her muscles are actually weak and unable to perform necessary activities. The patient has no medical history and she takes no medications and has no allergies. She does not smoke or drink. On review of systems, the patient reports having had an episode of double vision approximately 3 months ago which resolved spontaneously without any treatment. She did not seek medical attention at that time. General physical examination is unremarkable. On neurological examination, the patient has decrease strength in the facial muscles, eyes, neck and upper extremities. The remainder of the examination is within normal limits. 1.which additional tests would you recommend for her? 2.what is the provisional diagnosis?
