A 2ND STEWARDESS POSITION ON 125FT SAILING YACHT (PRIVATE) YACHT INFORMATION: A Private 125ft sailing yacht (Palmer Johnson Schooner) which is currently in Juneau, Alaska, Cayman Island flagged is looking for a 2nd stewardess to join their crew of 7. Candidates needs to be between the ages of Mid 20’s to early 30’s The yacht was built in 1991 and had several, extensive refits. The yacht is mostly used with only the owners on board, who use the yacht for extended periods of time. Very understanding and accommodating owner. They understand the needs of the crew. The tender and water toys are available to crew to use for recreation. The owners are not demanding and very seldom invite guests to sail on board. Crew quarters are very spacious with flat screen satellite T.V in crew mess and central entertainment system. We spend most of our cruising time in remote areas and do not frequently spend time in marinas. The crew-member needs to be a • ABSOLUTELY NON SMOKER. No ‘Social smokers’. • MUST have AT LEAST 3 months experience on a sail yacht of 100’ plus. • No tattoos which are visible when wearing uniform under normal circumstances. • No ear rings, tongue studs, nose rings or any other body piercings which will be visible when wearing uniform under normal circumstances. • Must not have any special dietary needs such as Kosher, vegetarian, organic foods only, etc. We enjoy great, healthy meals but do not cater for individual crew preferences. • Must be single and totally unencumbered – a boyfriend or girlfriend working on another yacht can easily cause a quick loss of crew if they find positions together on a yacht. • MUST provide references. • Must be a team player. • We are looking for good, honest, clean cut, hard working and fun loving candidates who have a sense of responsibility. • Crew-member must be a team player as all crew assist in docking, fenders, lines and launching tenders. All crew works towards a common goal and team work is important. The yacht is looking for good honest, clean cut, hard working and fun loving candidates who have a sense of responsibility and pride. Even though everybody works hard and long hours, they also have a lot of fun on board, such as snorkeling, BBQ on the beach, (LOTS of) Diving and water skiing. Yacht offers medical insurance from day one and dental insurance after 3 months on board. 30 Days’ paid vacation after a year on board. Opportunities to do courses after a year on board. The crew arrangements are as follows: Seven crew: Captain & Chief Stewardess (married) . On board since August 2005. Engineer – Own cabin. Chef – Own cabin 2 x deckhands – Will share a cabin together 2nd Stewardess: will have their own cabin. ITINERARY: Presently doing a charter from Vancouver to Juneau, Alaska. We’ll spend some time in Alaska before heading to Barbados via British Colombia, California, Mexico, Costa Rica, Panama, Colombia and Aruba, Curacao and Bonaire. Plans are to be in Barbados for Christmas and then spend the season there doing a few cruises with the owners on board – but most probably very light use. QUALIFICATIONS: MUST have Basic STCW95, ENG1 and a B1B2 Visa. Strong table service skills and good eye to detail within the interior of a yacht. Must like sailing and not get sea sick. START DATE: 15TH AUGUST 2014 IN JUNEAU, ALASKA EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full-time SALARY: Starting salary is $3,000USD per month after 3 months probation period will increase to $3,500USD per month
