A 3.3% unemployment rate if you have a BA OR BS Degree, Mr. President Barack Obama? Make $15,000 more than the average high school graduate? The White House and United States Senate need to do more fact-checking because this is FALSE! Im Brian Jay, a long-term unemployed Two-Time U.S. Navy Protected Veteran of Operation Enduring Freedom/Operation Iraqi Freedom who proudly served aboard two prestigious War Ships; USS Constellation and USS Enterprise (CVN 65) then graduated with two college degrees I never planned on earning. I paid for both degrees with my life! First a tech diploma from Connecticut School of Broadcasting, Connecticut School of Broadcasting - Hasbrouck Heights, then an AA in Information Technology from University of Phoenix (2007) and BA in Communication Studies in 2010 from UMUC (University of Maryland University College) with 3.7 GPAs and Im still unemployed because the attitude out there in the workforce is dismal and these schools DO NOT care about helping graduates like me find meaningful work which they have promised to do! Why is that and what is the real unemployment rate? Is it more like 33.3%? Why am I and millions of other Veterans of The United States unemployed waiting for work? We didn’t wait to put our John Hancock signatures on our Military Service Contracts when our nation needed us from before 2001 and beyond! Where is all the help from the company that laid me off (Clear Channel Communications, Inc.) when you took office in 2008 doing with their $75M iHeartRadio #ShowYourStripes Campaign which your wife Michelle Obama, Jill Biden, and many other celebrities like Ryan Seacrest are backing? How many Veterans have they and other private sector companies actually hired in the past year? None, right? Finally, why are you forgiving student loan debt for people who haven’t even thought about sacrificing their lives for this country? Disgraceful! I’m totally appalled and disappointed in our nation! #maverickradio™
