A 5-year Prospective Cohort Study on the Impact of Complementary and Integrative Therapies on Quality of Life for People living with Breast, Lung, Pancreatic, Colorectal and Ovarian Cancer The Ottawa Integrative Cancer Clinic is actively recruiting people with a diagnosis of breast, lung, pancreatic, colorectal or ovarian cancer to participate in a study exploring the safety and effectiveness of complementary therapies in cancer care, with a specific focus on intravenous vitamin C. All participants are asked to complete 3 questionnaires, 4 times over a 1-year period. The questionnaires will take about 10-15 minutes to complete. In addition, at the ends of years 2, 3, 4 and 5 participants will be asked for a copy of their medical record, to see what medical treatments they have used and whether their cancer has recurred. In return for time spent completing the questionnaires, participants will receive two $50 OICC gift certificates: the first upon enrollment and the second after completing the first year of the study. Please contact Dr. Dugald Seely, ND ([email protected]; 613-792-1222) to learn more about this study.
