A BETTER LIFE THOUGHT: A great privilege was given to Mary when she was chosen to give birth to Gods Son. The Bible tells us Mary pondered all the things that were happening to her. Can you imagine the awe she felt as her understanding grew realizing the plans God had for her body and the role she would play in raising Jesus, Gods Son. I would love to visit with Mary and ask her what it was like being a parent to Jesus. Mark Lowrys song, Mary Did You Know, got me thinking. Here are some questions I would love to ask Mary. I am sure you could add to this list... --Mary, did you ever have to scold Jesus? --Did He ever wake up afraid? --Did He get all As in school? --Did you ever think while serving lunch, thats God eating my soup? --Did it ever occur to you when you prayed to God, He was asleep under your roof? --Did Jesus ever ask a question about the Bible? --Did He squirm as a toddler through services in the synagogue. --Did he look uneasy when he saw lambs slaughtered in the temple knowing He would one day be that sacrificial lamb? --When you kissed Him, did you know were kissing the face of God? --Did you recall those hands nailed to the cross were the little hands you once held. --Mary, when did you understand that at birth you became His mother, while at death He became your Savior? In time, Mary understood it all wonderfully well. But the daily discoveries must have amazed and thrilled her bringing incredible joy and satisfaction. --MAXimixe your AWE
