A BETTER POLITICS In looking for people to hire, you look for three qualities: integrity, intelligence, and energy. And if they do not have the first, the other two will kill you-W. Buffet Imagine if we break out of these tired old patterns of name calling, character assassination and political thuggery. Imagine if we did something different in our national lives that will move our dear country forward to a more prosperous and united country, irrespective of tribes, and religion. It is pertinent to know that a better politics is not one where APC abandon their agenda or PDP simply embrace APC agenda. A better politics is not when politician A of party B decamped to another party D in search for greener pasture. A better politics is one where SDP, UPN, PDP, APC and others appeal to one anothers basic decency instead of their basest fears. A better politics is one where politicians debate without demonizing one another; where they talk issues, values, principles, solutions, and facts, rather than fake controversies that have nothing to do in tackling Corruption, Insecurity, Unemployment, Failed Economy that affects our lives on a daily bases. A better politics is one where we spend less time drowning ill gotten wealth for adverts that pull us into the gutter, and spend more time lifting young people up, including my humbleself with a sense of purpose and possibility, and asking them to join in the great mission of rebuilding Nigeria. If we are going to have arguements, campaigns, lets have them. But lets make them debate worthy and worthy of our dear country Nigeria. That is a better politics. That is how we start rebuilding trust. That is how we move our dear country forward. That is what Nigerians want. That is what Nigerians deserve. My dream is that after this election we can all say it is amazing what we can bounce back from when we have to... we are a strong, tight-knit family who have made it through some very, very hard times. A brighter future is ours to write. Lets make a change together. Lets start the work right now by voting wisely and responsibly! Thank you, God bless you, and God bless this fatherland we love.
