A BIG MAHALO TO THE 17 VOLUNTEERS WHO CAME OUT TODAY! In less - TopicsExpress

A BIG MAHALO TO THE 17 VOLUNTEERS WHO CAME OUT TODAY! In less than 2 hours we removed the large tags at Pride Rock and also removed 34 lbs of garbage from the pillboxes! We are looking to come back in the near future and finally do a secondary cleaning to get this rock face looking pristine again... BUT! AND THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT.... We NEED EYES on this site! Specifically, volunteers conveniently located in the greater Lanikai region (HINT HINT HINT!) to please check on this hike once a week if you can and keep us up to date on the tagging going on here. For those who are not aware, the most recent re-tag started as a cross, then names around the cross, then the huge tag on top. We have proven through fieldwork that our options are either 1) Buff it fast and reduce/eliminate retagging 2) Leave it be and it gets worse, sometimes very fast at a HEAVILY tagged site like Kaiwa Ridge. So please, once again, if you have time once a week or once every two weeks, please help adopt this site and report any graffiti that pops up either in this group or hashtag us on Instagram or Twitter at #808cleanups. I personally check those sites DAILY so I will respond ASAP to reports! Mahalo! THANK YOU ALL AGAIN FOR YOUR TIME AND HARD WORK TODAY!
