A BILLION SHILLINGS! Last night, I dreamt President M7 giving me UGX 1,000,000,000= cash. It looked so real. It wasnt surprising, because, of late, my mind has been working on big projects related to productivity and value addition in agriculture, especially in Teso. Being the chairman of Katakwi Rice Cooperative Ltd, Ive even written to President M7 requesting for tractors for the cooperative. Could the cash be for this? Then there is this project of building an ultra-modern rice milling facility for Katakwi Rice Cooperative Ltd....that I have already asked NAADS Secretariat to do for us in Katakwi. NAADS has already delivered two SB-10D milling machines. Installing and testing them could not be done because KRC could not afford the land, power grid erection and connection, road network, etc...hence the request for the Secretariat and GOU to help. Could the money be for this? Or the Ateso Dictionary project where eight years ago I emerged the only approved author of a lexicon for the instruction of a Ugandan indigenous language in primary school (by MOES 2007)? President M7 co-authored Runyankore-Rukiga thesaurus was only launched in 2013. Is this money for my recognition, at long last? You know prophets are not recognized at home? Or is it this BUDS-DFID proposal I had submitted to PSFU in 2011 being funded at last? I remember hearing rumours that the British project funder had withdrawn after the Office of the Prime Minister mafias grabbed the money meant for the economic recovery of our businesses in Northern Uganda. Yeah, each successful project proposal was allowed to draw up to 1bn/= in grant cash to boost its enterprise! Was this the dream come true? For sure, my mind is full of projects and money...lets see what the next few months will herald.
