A BRIEF STORY ON POLITICAL SUCCESS AND MONUMENTAL ACHIEVEMENTS OF HONOURABLE ABDULWAHAB OLADIMEJI ISSA by Akanbi Hormoborlajii Hon. Abdulwahab oladimeji issa, an illustrious son of Kwara State who hailed from the heart of the State; Ilorin, indeed made a lot of impacts in the lives of many indigenous citizens of Ilorin. He actually won himself into the hearts of Ilorin indigenes (both ordinary and the rich individuals) through his exceptional conducts, he displayed, while he occupied public and political positions. Wahab Issa! As fondly called by his teaming admirers, is also known to have influenced better future for the youths through numerous empowerment opportunities and job opportunities that ensured security of lives to individual beneficiaries, when he represented his constituency at various offices. To that effect, Hon. Abdulwahab Issa, was able to achieve a very robust goal on Human development, with his determination and unassuming zeal to reposition the society for better. The people of Ilorin Emirate will not forget the landmark achievements of Wahab Issa, when he served as the Executive Chairman of the Old Ilorin East in 1996, at that period, he restructured the labour force within the Local Government, He also measured to standard, ethics guiding the establishment of the council as the third tiers arm of the government, through drawing the government nearer to the common people. The framework Hon. Abdulwahab Oladimeji Issa, laid, in improving social amenities and infrastructure such as roads creation, construction of drainage network and culvect rural and urban development, poverty alleviation, during his tenure as the Executive Chairman of Ilorin South between2004-2007, can not be wished away. While creation of commerce through rehabilitation and building of market centers as well as activation and creation of health centers and building of modern schools, were also more than enough to be celebrated. While as a legislator, in the House of representative, National Assembly, Abuja, his exceptional conducts as well as administrative experience and knowledge, earned him to serve in the respected legislative arm as Chairman, House Committee on Federal Character. Due to his goodwill, Hon. Issa achieved a lot in the area of securing job opportunities in almost all sphere of professions identified in public sector, for his people. In view of the aforementioned, Hon. Issa achieved a lot in the area Human Development. Sai Wahab! As he is fondly hailed by the Emirate people, is a grassroots mobilizer, a good listener, a builder of knowledge through tentative team work consideration. He is also regarded as a man of many virtues; Humility, Devotion, Commitment and Hard Work. Henceforth, he had greatly impounded into the lives of the people of Ilorin Emirate, great physical and Human Development as a pillar of commitment, a symbol of hard work and the very essence of industry, which is families, friends and associates would readily attest to. The acquaintanceships, achievement and political life, of Hon. Abdulwahab Oladimeji Issa, can not be completed without acknowledging his political mentor, father, the Late Kwara Political Leader, the Titan and political colossus, the Late Waziri Ngari of Ilorin; Dr. Abubakar Olusola Saraki. No doubt, these numerous attributes observed in Hon. Wahab Issa, would be easily traced to the traits the Late Leader was known for in his life time. Alijanat Fridaus to the late stage! The loyalty to the Saraki ruling dynasty was never betrayed by Hon. Abdulwahab Issa, after the death of Baba Oloye, Without compromise, nor mincing words, Hon. Issa, did not only Identified with the scion of the political dynasty; Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki (CON), he his also, doing everything within his capacity to support the Amiable Leader Legacies and Visions for a better Kwara. Wahab Issa, the man of the people is always seen within Ilorin metropolises canvassing for total support to the kwara state political leader. Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, with is wealth, political influence and good will. In his own view, after the death of the great sage and philanthropist, there is no one that can wear the shoes of Baba Oloye, except Dr. Bukola Saraki, who has already taking his political sojourn to greater height, especially, with regards to his roles and responsibilities in National Politics. Hon. Issa, whom to date is an astute supporter of the dynasty of Saraki, is an uncompromised political activist in the political structure, believing the Emerging Tiger is the only person among the political gladiators that can take State to a new better level.
