A Bahrain-based teenager was killed in a car crash in Saudi Arabia. Pakistani Bilal Bashir, 19, was going to Dubai with his two brothers Awais, 20, and Faisal, 18, when the Toyota Prado they were travelling in collided with another car a few miles away from the Qatari border on Wednesday night. The Al Noor International School graduate got his licence in June and was looking forward to the road trip, said his eldest sister Madiha Bashir. He was all thrilled and was celebrating his getting a licence and his admission to the polytechnic - he was to join next month, she told the GDN. The driver of the other car, a 33-year-old Saudi man, and his one-year-old daughter also died on the spot, while his 23-year-old wife is severely injured. Awais has head injuries and doesnt know about Bilals death yet. A driver who was passing by saw the serious accident and stopped the car and spotted Faisal, who was the only one conscious. An ambulance shifted Awais and Faisal and the woman in the other car to King Fahad Hospital in Saudi Arabia. The brothers left Bahrain around 5pm on Wednesday and were supposed to return tomorrow. Bilals father Mohammed Bashir Hussain went to Saudi late on Wednesday night to bring his sons body to Bahrain. He will be buried today. Mr Hussain and his wife Safia have nine children - six daughters and three sons.
