A Beautiful Morning with God! I needed a daily work assignment - TopicsExpress

A Beautiful Morning with God! I needed a daily work assignment for Emmie, my six year old, as “The Summer of Oprah” continues! I thought for him to practice his handwriting, spelling and grammar by copying a few pages from some of his books and in looking for a book for him, I pulled out one for me, ‘Happiness Digest’ and I ended having the best morning with God reading some of the chapters! God first got my attention with a God wink, as yesterday, putting gas in my car, I had some time with God just looking up at some birds in a tree! I said to Him incredibly, ‘You even take care of the birds!’ remembering the verse from the Bible, “Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them.” I watched those birds, smiling, in total awe of God! Fast forward to this morning and reading the book, I randomly opened to the following: “In His Sermon on the Mount, Christ taught His disciples precious lessons in regard to the necessity of trusting God… The Saviour pointed his followers to the birds of the air… for “they sow not, neither do they reap.” God certainly had my attention after that with this book, that I locked myself in the bathroom to continue reading in peace away from my kids! Lately, I’ve been having so many thoughts and questions about writing my book: ‘Is this the right time? Am I a good enough writer? What will people say or think? They’re only silly stories about my life!’ and the list goes on and on! Well, God answered me today in that book: “You are not to wait for great occasions or to expect extraordinary abilities before you go to work for God. You need not have a thought of what the world will think of you. If your daily life is a testimony to the purity and sincerity of your faith, and others are convinced that you desire to benefit them, your efforts will not be wholly lost. The humblest and poorest of the disciples of Jesus can be a blessing to others. They may not realize that they are doing any special good, but by their unconscious influence they may start waves of blessing that will widen and deepen, and the blessed results they may never know until the day of final reward. They do not feel or know that they are doing anything great. They are not required to weary themselves with anxiety about success. They only have to go forward quietly, doing faithfully the work that God’s providence assigns, and their life will not be in vain.” WE ROLL WITH GOD!
