A Berkshire Superior Court judge has upheld a November 2013 award - TopicsExpress

A Berkshire Superior Court judge has upheld a November 2013 award of $300,000 to the Freight Yard Pub from the North Adams Redevelopment Authority. The ruling finds that construction of the Hadley Overpass, which began in Oct. 2008, has negatively impacted the pubs business. How that money will be paid -- or whether the North Adams Redevelopment Authority plans to appeal the decision to a higher court -- remains unclear. No matter what the outcome, Mayor Richard J. Alcombright said, the city itself will not be on the hook for the money. There is a difference between the NARA and the city, Alcombright said. This doesnt impact the city finances in any way shape or form. Anything at all that comes out of this does not impact our reserves or our budget.
