A Bible thought: Isa 37:31 "And the remnant that is escaped of the house of Judah shall again take root downward, and bear fruit upward." 1) God expects both a root system and fruit bearing. 2) Roots are unseen, and therefore, some neglect them for the “on display” portions of the Christian life. 3) Without roots, there will cease to be fruit. 4) A lack of the hidden root system will soon become public knowledge. 5) Both roots and fruit are to grow simultaneously. 6) It’s wrong to neglect one to promote the other. With that in mind, how’s your private devotion life (Bible, prayer, worship)? How’s your public ministry (church, Sunday school, soul winning)?
