A Biodynamic Farming, Yoga, Adventure Vacation in Costa Rica Contact us at wellnessinbalanceretreat@gmail Description July 16- July 22, 2014 Led by Costa Rican resident and Biodynamic Educator, Sara Hartley, and Practicing Herbalist and Yoga Teacher, Helen Leavitt. Our home base will be Finca Luna Nueva, a Biodynamic-certified farm and eco-lodge in north central Costa Rica. Bordering the Children’s Eternal Rainforest, this farm specializes in growing ginger and turmeric, raising livestock, and is home to hundreds of sacred, medicinal plants. The 55,000 acres of preserved primary rainforest is the largest private reserve in the country. A common theme in Rudolf Steiners anthroposophical education is achieving harmonium throughout the day with a flow of activities that create a balance between contraction and expansion. It is our mission of the retreat; to form a soft, natural, dynamic atmosphere where we can nurture our physical body, soul, and spirit and also stimulate our senses. The idea of balancing breathing in and breathing out activities allows us time to internalize our experiences and connect with our intuition. This retreat includes all sorts of food for the soul: Daily centering and energizing yoga in the rainforest Talks on biodynamic farming Discussion of herbs for everyday health Homemade plant medicine demonstrations Chocolate and Green Tea making workshops Rainforest hikes during night and day Massage/Acupuncture/Reiki sessions at the hotel’s Rainforest Spa and Holistic Wellness Center Tour of Sacred Seeds Medicinal Plant Garden Repelling Natural Waterfalls or Rainforest Hikes near Volcano Arenal Guided tour of La Fortuna city Sunset trip to natural hot springs Transportation to and from San Jose Airport 3 healthy, local meals each day and snacks of fresh fruit and smoothies
