A Birthday.... ............................ It was not not ostentatious just plain and ordinary sans pomp and raucous candles were not blown cake cutting was not done balloons,flowers..were not part of decoration no song was sung to mark the occasion no clothes new were worn no ceremony was observed to elicit fun and ...still it was a birthday in a special way.. as the clock struck twelve at midnight land phone rang with all its might his daughter placed at a distant quarter took all the pains to remain awake and wish her father the dawn and the day appeared in quick succession making the day auspicious full on a quaint surprise knocked at the door in the form of a favourite item a connoisseur of food the aroma and demeanour delighted his being making up for mood leaving no scope to brood the pizzas ordered on line by his daughter in keeping with his palate and platter was relished and savoured to the last morsel what more could have been asked for?..To my dear hubby..on his bday
