A Blackboard community site has been established for the GattonConversations program hosted by the School of Agriculture and Food Sciences (SAFS). All first year students are a member of this Blackboard site. GattonConversations is a weekly 90 minute seminar with students to communicate and discuss information aimed at enhancing the student experience in their first year on campus. This involves presentations and discussion sessions delivered by a range of academic and support staff. The program is designed to deal with a range of issues which typically occur in the lives of first year students, and will be adapted to cater for your needs as they develop. These sessions are timetabled for 3:00 – 4:30 pm on Wednesdays in the Hamon Centre seminar room (8255-103). Echo360 is being used to record these meetings and link them to the Blackboard site to allow for broader access. There is also a discussion board available on the Blackboard site that you can ask questions and suggest seminar topics etc. External students are encouraged to download the seminars and make use of the discussion board.
