A Blizzard Warning is now in effect for Sheridan county in Northwestern Nebraska until 6 PM CST. The Winter Weather Advisories for portions of the Eastern Panhandle, Sandhills, and North Central Nebraska remains in effect until 6 PM CST today. Along with the falling snow, strong northwest winds will create blowing snow and reduced visibilities. Hazardous travel is expected to continue throughout the day. Snow and snow showers will continue across most of Western and North Central Nebraska today. Strong northwest winds of 25-35 mph, with gust approaching 50 mph will create blowing snow and reduced visibilities. Roadways and bridges will be slick from the falling and blowing snow, making travel hazardous throughout the day.
