A Bortstein family tradition on December 25th involved movies. From my earliest days, we either went to the movies or watched movies from home. One of my earliest recollections was hearing my father talk about the film A Thousand Clowns, released in 1965, starring Jason Robards. It was my fathers favorite film. I watched it for the first time in 1992. But I heard about it often enough that once I had the chance to keep it for posterity, I recorded it onto my DVR, but dont watch it frequently enough. This is film #1 of the 2014 holiday schedule. More to come later.
