A CALL TO ANOINT 1 Ps 23:5b You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. A head is Godly figure which symbolizes a lot of things, but will narrow the script to our understanding. The puropose of anointing is to ordain Priest, and Kings in the bible. Lev 4:3, Heb 7, Exe 40:13. Aaron and sons was the first people to be anointed and consecrated for the service of Lord. Why anointing the head, and not the stomach, or the legs, or the back? Though one can anoint any part of the body but over here the Psalmist, Exedous,Levites emphasize on the head, which calls for a ponder. As the question asked; why the head? A head is part of a body, which forms the integral status of the body. one can not have a head without body, then both are death, save my dear crab, who exist without a head. The head contains many things but will center on 5 of those things that makes it unique and receives the oil; the nose, the tongue, the ear, eye and the hair. the nose; is a respiratory organ the part of the face or head through which a person or animal breathes. yes, there are other mechanisms through which a person breathe into the body but the maximal moves through the nose. Those air moves to the heart and other part of our body. The nose take into you oxygen and breathe out carbon dioxide. Hope my general science are perfect for our topic of the day. When one is anointed of the Lord, a function of the oil is to consecrate u for His service, so when anointed, you continually dwell in His presence through fellowshipping in Spirit and in truth. As one dwell in the secret of the Most High, You will breathe in oxygen through the Holy spirit. This oxygen from the Holy Spirit contains elements like power, strength, favor, authority, overcoming spirit , peace, wealth creation, and a whole lot. immediately the oxygen from the Spirit of God gets into your system, it moves into your heart as peace that surpasses all inderstanding and guard your heart and also. The air which was in as oxygen doesnt moves out as oxygen rather as carbon dioxide. Good, the breathe of God enters you and deposit good and vital elements in you and takes out other bad elements, which is not needed in your body from you. Those elements include fear, panic, anxiety, sorrows, rejection, depression and so on. A believer is automatically anointed when he/she accepts Christ as His Lord and master saviour. Remember Christ means the Anointed one. jokingly,then no need for frytol oil on your head again. The more u breathe in Christ the less Crisis. Folks if you are not in Jesus, then you are not save, not safe, not secured and also you have fear, doubts, you stand enternal damnation, you are a living death. In spite all these state of you, Jesus Christ is more abled to save you and as you dwell in Him and fellowship through the Holy Spirit you take into you; power, righteousness, favor, holiness, grace and strength.
