A CHIEF STEWARDESS POSITION ON A 25M CATAMARAN (PRIVATE) YACHT INFORMATION: A 25m motor yacht (Catamaran) is currently seeking a Chief steward/ess/. The yacht is based in Fremantle (spends winter up North and Summer in Perth). The yacht is currently in Perth. Must be a clean and organised person. Well presented at all times.. The owner is Australian and has 3 children under the age of 8 years old. This is not a live aboard position you would have to have your own accommodation ashore. You are on call at all times. 4 weeks annual leave. Specific Duties of the job: o Primary role is working with the Captain to ensure the well- being of the family and their guests o Management of interior (Service & Housekeeping) ensuring highest standards are met and maintained for all interior areas. Daily cleaning of all interior guest areas when the family are on board and maintenance cleaning on a regular basis – daily/weekly/monthly as required o Assisting with any parties on board the vessel (s) and catering for these events o Providing receipts for all expenses/Inventory maintenance and stock control o Interior purchasing and provisioning including fridge and pantry stocking – all areas o Preparation and co-ordination of tenders for shore visits/trips with drinks/snacks/sunscreen etc o Laundry – both the family personal and boat laundry o Assisting with the family children if no nanny is on board o Overseeing and training casual stewardesses working on board from time to time o Assisting with other tasks as directed by the Captain Key Expectations Service o Be proactive, always prepared for changing circumstances o Be able to travel at short notice o Use initiative and judgment to ensure all matters requiring attention are properly handled o Ensure proper handling and safeguarding of confidential, sensitive or private information o Requirements and Skills o Conduct yourself at all times in a friendly, courteous and supportive manner, tending to the individual needs of the family members whilst still maintaining a high level of respect and professionalism o Good interpersonal skills o Sensitivity and respect for guests onboard the vessel (s) o Professional, mature, well groomed and articulate o Co-operative team player o Flexible and able to adapt to change o Health & safety awareness o First Aid Certificate to be kept up to date Presentation and Grooming o Display a friendly professional manner o Be clean and well groomed at all times ITINERARY: Fremantle Western Australia. QUALIFICATIONS: STCW95- not necessary. To be a qualified chef or strong cook that has cooked on yachts this size before START DATE: FIRST WEEK OF FEBRUARY 2015 - EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full – time SALARY: AUD$70-78k per year (including Super).
