Love it! I really like the song / chord structure.. and of course the lyrics/message... This almost feels effortless in its presentation... (hard work and tons of prep when done right, almost always comes across as effortless!) Talk later My response: Larry: Re-wrote the verse melody 5 times, took a week to get a set of lyrics that was right, systematically changed the tempo from 97 to 103 over 10 iterations, struggled to get the chorus answer lines (walkin my life in a state of grace, etc.) to be completely sonically sparate from the tribal chant (ended up using an overdrive plugin with a midrange boost / stereo separation), discarded a set of bridge lyrics as irrelevant and opted for a modulated instrumental ... the list goes on. In short, it was like pulling teeth (my own), so your effortless comment comes like a warm southern breeze at the end of a long, cold winter!
